Welcome to the Stanford Oral History Programs site. Learn about the several exciting oral history programs on campus that are capturing the past (and present) through interviews of Stanford faculty, staff, and alumni, to preserve the rich history of one of the world's great universities. The transcripts that result from these interviews then become invaluable sources for future researchers and scholars.
Individual campus programs at the Graduate School of Business, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, Hoover Institution, School of Law, and School of Medicine work to document their respective communities. The Stanford Historical Society and University Archives embrace the entire Stanford campus, working with the various programs to ensure that the story of Stanford's rise from "good to great" is thoroughly preserved. Please use the top menu to visit individual programs.
